We are an adult women’s ice hockey team based out of Saugerties, New York.

Our mission is to build a vibrant and inclusive community of women through the sport of ice hockey, where we inspire the next generation of girls to embrace the game with confidence and passion. the name "The Valkyrie" came from our desire to embody the strength, courage, and resilience that defines our team. In Norse mythology, Valkyries were powerful female warriors who chose the bravest souls to join them in Valhalla, the hall of heroes. Like the Valkyries, we aim to uplift and inspire those around us, championing bravery and leadership both in the rink and in our daily lives. The name reflects our commitment to creating a team that is not only formidable in competition but also a force for positive change, encouraging women and girls to pursue their passion for hockey with the heart of a warrior.
